What Does the Message “We Started to Track This Source When This Property Was Already Inside Their Portfolio” Mean?

While reviewing a property's History tab on CASAFARI, you might come across the message: “We started to track this source when this property was already inside their portfolio.”

This message refers to how and when CASAFARI began collecting data from a specific source.

🔐 Step 1: Log in to Your CASAFARI Account

  • Click Log in and enter your credentials.

📜 Step 2: Open a Property page and Access the History Tab

  • Use Property Sourcing or the Quick Search Tool to find the property you want to review.
  • Click to open the property’s full details page.
  • Navigate to the History tab to see a timeline of listing activity and changes.

📅 Step 3: Understand the Message in Context

CASAFARI's History shows when a property was listed, modified, or delisted across various websites.

However, if a new source (website) is added to CASAFARI after the property is already listed there, we cannot determine the exact date the property was first published on that site.

In such cases, we display the message:

"We started to track this source when this property was already inside their portfolio."

This means:

  • The property was already live on that external website.
  • CASAFARI began tracking the source after the listing was published.
  • The date shown corresponds to when CASAFARI began monitoring that source—not the property's original publish date on that site.
