Required Fields - Contacts and Properties

The definition of mandatory fields when creating and editing contacts and properties in the CRM helps ensure that essential information is always completed. This improves data quality, facilitates contact organization, and allows teams to work with more complete and consistent information.

In this article, we explain how mandatory fields work and how they can be used to improve the management of contacts and properties in the CRM.

How to configure?

From the main menu, go to Configuration > Required Fields:

Defining mandatory fields for contacts:

- When you open the page, the following fields will appear, which you can configure as desired:

- Select the field you want to edit and click on it:

Mandatory field on edit– validation is performed when editing a contact. If this field is not completed, it is not possible to save the contact changes in the CRM.

Only if contact is active – validation is performed when the contact is activated.

Mandatory field on creation – validation is performed when creating a new contact. If this field is not completed, it is not possible to save the new contact in the CRM.

Note: even if all parameters are set to “no”, the Name field is always mandatory in the CRM when creating or editing a contact. Otherwise, the system will not allow you to proceed.

Defining mandatory fields for properties:

- Select the field you want to edit and click on it:

Mandatory field on edit – validation is performed when editing a property. If this field is not completed, it is not possible to save the property changes in the CRM.

Only active properties – validation is performed when the property is activated.

Allow value 0 – defines whether or not the value 0 can be entered in the field. For example, if this is not allowed, when trying to save a property with 0 bedrooms, the following message will appear:

Type of real estate business – here you can define whether a particular field must be completed depending on the type of real estate business.
